I have decided to just ‘rip the band aid off’ so to speak and finish up the last three of the Home Sweet Home Quilt Along Sashing Tutorials.  Next up – another easy one:

17. 8 Rectangles

One of the bad things about procrastinating so long on some of these tutorials is that I’m having a hard time finding the pictures I took during the progress or I’m realizing that I didn’t take pictures.  Since this tutorial is really, really simple I’m just going to go without good step by step pictures.

The sashing ‘8 rectangles’ can been seen on the right side of the Bonus Block, Marcia’s Crazee Patch House and

the left side of Block 11, Happy Tree.

Fabric Requirements

From 8 different fabric scraps cut one – 2” x 3.5” rectangle

Piecing Instructions

Pair the rectangles into four sets.  Sew them together along the 3.5” side of the rectangle.  Iron to one side.  Now sew your four squares together to make your ‘8 Rectangles’ sashing.

Just two tutorials left…
