This is our last closer look at the My Favorite Color Project QUILTING Challenge quilt entries.  I’ll say it again – you all AMAZE me!  So much talent here!  I hope you’re all excited about the new challenge going up tomorrow.  I know I can’t wait to see what it is!  Please note, if challenges weren’t entered into the flickr pool on time they were not put into the random prize drawing hat – but we still want to see them and hear their stories – right!?  Enjoy your last ‘closer look’ for this challenge:

Alice Frances 54 North Monmouth, Maine My Favorite Color Blue Baby Blue

I’m a beginner quilter and truly obsessed with sewing.  This challenge is perfect for me since I can’t stick to one color scheme, let alone one color.  My quilts seem too busy, and a little chaotic so far, so I’m hoping this challenge will help curb my appetite when I go shopping for fabric. I’ve dug out every blue and blue & white fabric I can find and I think it will be enough.  The name of my piece is Blue Baby Blue.  I’m using leftovers from two or three quilts I’ve made for my Grand Babies about 10 years ago.

This is my Project Quilting Entry 4:2: My Favorite Color. I fell in love with this embroidery pattern by Cheryl C. Fall on About.com and just had to make it this week. So it became my challenge piece! I framed it up with a gorgeous set of green batiks, overlapping to create interesting dimension. The piece is 12″ square, made by Emma Thomas-McGinnis, Urbandale, IA.

Quilter: Bev Ann

Princess in Pink

Princess in Pink

I’m Bev Ann and I’m quilting in Brazos Country, TX. Princess in Pink (play on words) is a 8 x 9 wall hanging and is my quilt # 2. The dress was cut using the Sizzix dress die. Little pearls beads were added at the waist. I love that this challenge is stretching me and forcing me to try new things. Maybe soon, I’ll even be able to move beyond one small piece!

Quilter: Donna Dueck

Black and White

Hi I’m Donna Dueck , I live in Calgary, Canada, and this is the second quilt I’ve made. I love flowers and when I saw the swirl design I thought of flowers. I had fun do the applique but I am having a hard time deciding how to quilt my wall hanging. My sewing machine only likes straight stitches lol. I added a few ribbons flowers to give it a little punch.

Quilter: Pamela Quilts

Project Quilting 13-2 one color+ white

Lone Star in Shades of Blue

Lone Star quilt in shades of blue. Measures 32 inches square. This is a last minute change of plan after my first quilt decided it needs to be a queen size! A little late, but it is finished! Made by me in Coos Bay, OR!

Alright – with that, I’m off to vend at the 6th Annual Valentine Craftacular!  I have to leave in about 4 minutes so instead of doing another post…Here’s a few of my newest creations:
