Themed Thursday – SUMMER TIME!

I know this week’s theme seems obvious considering it’s summer time, but it took me forever to come up with one.  All my past theme’s have been easy since it’s related to something going on in my life at the time.  Things are starting to slowly settle down…at least for this week.  Summer Time was inspired by a quilt a fellow quiltsy teammate made.  I feel that Kimbuktu is definitely onto something great: a beach quilt!  

Jamaican Beach Quilt

Perfect for lounging by the pool or laying on the sand, this brightly colored beach quilt rolls up and travels with you. 100% quality cotton prints and cotton batting have been used in this comfortable and beautiful quilt, and I’ve quilted it with a freestyle large stipple pattern. The backing is a beige kona cotton. Two ties function as a closure when the quilt is rolled, and there is a loop long enough for hanging, or carrying on your shoulder.
