A Day of Adventures

I had planned for a day of adventures today and it went better than I ever expected (you truly never know what will happen with a 3 year old in tow). I needed to go up to Ardyth’s Sew-N-Vac Shoppe to pick up some new feet for my Janome 1600P so I called my friend Karmen to see if she wanted to meet for coffee. We met up and had a great time as always. But we only had a bit of time since Karmen had to go pick up her son, Enzo, from school. I mentioned that Pip and I were heading to Devil’s Lake to do some exploring and she said that her and Enzo would meet us there.
It was a wonderful time – had by all four of us! Pip and Enzo became fast friends. Now, Pip, just turned 3, and I personally haven’t seen her ‘play’ with another kid (other than her sisters) before.
Watching her play with Enzo was just so much fun…and of course Karmen wasn’t too bad of company either!
Pip asked Enzo to hold her hand on the walk back to the van. Enzo looked down and said, “Nice shoes.” Pip’s response, “tanks”.
