When I was at the Houston Quilt Festival one of my favorite booths was the ‘Adorn It’ booth!  It was an adorable display full of scrumptious fabrics and wonderful project ideas.

Of course – my first instinct was to snatch up all the fun scrap bags they had put together.  They were chalk full of wonderful scraps of beautiful Adorn It fabrics!  And I just love scraps of fabric – especially decent size ones which are enough to add to a scrappy project but not so much you have a lot (if any) left over when you’re ready to move on to the next fabric. As I was checking out I mentioned that I was going to blog about there wonderful booth!

The lady at the register (who happened to be Carolee) added this adorable stack pack to my bag and told me to blog about it!  And so here I am!  I took that charm pack and added the fabric scraps from the scrap bags I had purchased to create a whole new block design.

It’s called the ‘Spratt Block’ thanks once again to my friend Trish.  When you check out the pattern you’ll see that very little fabric gets wasted when making this block which caused her to be inspired by the classic nursery rhyme …

Jack Sprat could eat no fat. His wife could eat no lean. And so between them both, you see, They licked the platter clean

Get this great block pattern at my Craftsy site HERE. Once you see how this great block is made you’ll also see the possibilities are endless! I made a table runner with the charm pack … just check out all the various possibilities!
