Blogger’s Block-a-Palooza: Block #10 – Turned Geese

It took me a few extra days to get at Amy’s Creative Side’s 10th block for the Bloggers Block-A-Palooza due to a 3rd birthday celebration and a horrible cold…but I did it!
Amy’s method of creating the geese was a simple one…if I would have had a clear head and put all my fabrics right sides together. Turns out that I got one of my four blocks put together properly…didn’t realize it until after I did the first round of cuttings so spent plenty of time seam ripping on this one (completely my own fault). BUT I think it still turned out nicely and no one will ever know that I had to rip out the majority of these pieces… I do really like how Amy created a block out of just two blocks (one being just a simple square…the other the flying geese) and created something that looks really complicated. If you sit down and follow her directions…this block is not complicated at all!
An overview of the 10 blocks I have finished thus far. I hope to get Block 11 put together tomorrow…right now my head is swimming too much and I don’t feel like ripping a bunch of seams again 🙂
