Christmas Blossom Block from Sherri Falls – Block 12 of the Old School Block of the Month

And just like that – it is December 12th – the final reveal of the 2021 Old School Block of the Month! I can’t believe we’ve gone through a year of fun new blocks and techniques from such incredible quilters. I know that I learned a bunch along the way and I hope you have too. Before I get into this months block the big question on everyone’s mind is “Will there be setting instructions?” Of course! I’m going to post my setting on December 20th along with other options that designers from the quilt along have to offer.

Today we have the lovely Sherri Falls of This and That Patterns joining us with her block – Christmas Blossom.

I just love this fabulous twist on a flower! This block is actually easier than it looks which is my favorite kind of quilt pattern – one that looks complicated but once you break it down it really isn’t. The is one small trick with a partial seam that Sherri’s going to show you but once again – it’s easier than it looks.

And here are all the blocks from the Old School BOM. I’m pretty sure I put them in order. Stop back here on December 20th to see how I’m going to put these all together into one quilt. I have them in order on my wall right now but I’m definitely going to play around with how I lay them out.
