Flip Flop Quilt for Capri

I have shown you Karma’s True Lover’s Knot quilt already. Today I’m going to show off the quilt that she made for her second niece, Capri. I call it the Flip Flop Quilt because the fabric in the ‘ball’ area is an adorably fun flip flop design.

Karma used Barb’s You’ll Have a Ball pattern when making this quilt.
A cute fish printed pink commercial fabric is used as the center of each nine-patch and the border. A fun mixture of hand-dyes make up the corners of the ball’s and the remaining eight squares of the nine-patch.
When she was done piecing the top of the quilt, Karma sent it to Barb for quilting. Barb did a great job quilting a fun meandering pattern.
When it was time to take Capri home we bundled her up in this wonderful flip flop quilt. All the nurses just gushed over it (and my beautiful baby).
