Hexagon Block from Missie Carpenter – Block 4 of the Old School Block of the Month

It’s April 12th! The 12th in 2021 is a very special day every month because a new block for the Old School BOM 2021 is released. If you missed all the beginning info you can find out all about this Block of the Month HERE.

I’m thrilled to have Missie Carpenter of Traditional Primitives as the designer for the April block! Her style is completely different than mine and I have so much respect and admiration for what she does. That’s one of the things I love so much about quilting and really just art in general. There are so many different styles, colors, methods – this quilt along is helping us explore all of that in the quilting world!

Missie’s block is all about English Paper Piecing hexagons! She has some great tips and tools on how to do this on her post.  Find out how to make Missie’s block by going HERE.

And if you don’t want to do ALL the hexagons you see in the first block, Missie shared a fun fussy cutting option too!

I have not finished (or even started!) my block for April yet. I am excited to spend the month working on it though. I really enjoy bringing English Paper Piecing projects with me when I’m on the go. They’re great to work on when I can’t be at my sewing machine but I still need to keep my hands busy.
