Hidden Moments

I am having a really good time with the Modern Quilts Unlimited Block of the Month Challenge.  The most recent challenge block was “Rail Fence”.  Our challenge was to make the traditional block – feel modern.

Here is what I came up with – Hidden Moments.  I used the same Asian Tea Time panel I’ve been using in all the blocks.  I cut squares from the panels and then added little flanges of solid fabrics in them … creating a bit of a window shade effect.  I’m pretty sure whoever does the long arm quilting on this quilt is going to hate me as I have those flanges in many of my blocks!  I just really love the how they look!
