It’s finally my turn! Have you been following along on the blog hop to see what all the different designers thought of Judy Gauthier’s new book “Quilts for Scrap Lovers”?
I have to say I LOVE this book! Judy is so clever on how she organizes, cuts and pieces back together her scraps. I’m by far an expert quilter and this just goes to prove it! I started by just glancing through the book so I could figure out which project caught my fancy. Let’s just say – there are THREE different house patterns in this book – I LOVE HOUSE BLOCKS! (I’m trying to contain my capitalization usage but I just can’t help it). My initial plan was to make a quilt top pieced with all three of the house blocks … and that may still happen but I have to admit I was completely hooked with the “House Divided” Pattern.
It wasn’t long before I had six blocks made up … I definitely couldn’t stop there.
I now have twelve blocks with no intention of stopping anytime soon! It’s a fun pattern with clever cutting instructions that makes these great blocks AND uses up my scraps! Now, as I cut fabric out for other projects I’m also cutting the size blocks I need to make more of these. I can see this little project growing and growing and growing!
