Interesting find on ‘Pip’

My dad discovered interesting about what Pip means while working on a crossword puzzle the other day.  I had to go to dictionary.com to see if it was true:

Show IPA noun 1. a small seed, especially of a fleshy fruit, as an apple or orange.

And sure enough – Pip is part of an apple!  Too ironic!
