Layout 5 for the #ScrappyCrownAlong

Happy Thursday!  I’m a little late posting the new #scrappycrownalong because I had to get my blocks all made up for it!  I really need to work ahead of time so I can keep up!  I have all the layouts designed on EQ7 now and I’m really excited about how this quilt is going to turn out in the end! 

Layout 5:

To make this block – you need to make

• 1 – 15” Crown of Thorn Blocks

• 3 – 10” Crown of Thorn Blocks

• 15 – 5” Crown of Thorn Blocks

Here’s what the five blocks look like all laid out in EQ!

I played around with the layout of all my 5.5” squares before I sewed it together.

And this is what my fifth block looks like!  I used some half square triangle blocks, some snowballs, and one block of fabric was cool enough just as a 5” finished square that I didn’t do anything to tweak it (and that’s okay too)!
