Project QUILTING – the Winners of the RECYCLE Challenge – PUBLIC Choice and RANDOM Drawing

Here’s what one of the judges wished to share about this weeks entries: "I was really moved by how many of these entries used clothing/fabric that the quilter associated with a family member/beloved pet, and that these aren’t just a "project" but are now heirlooms that these quilters (or their recipients) will really cherish for years to come.  I love that Project Quilting and this specific challenge that Diane came up with has taken on a life of it’s own and was the catalyst to the creation of these treasures." And with that perfect summation I will start announcing the winners. I’m going to start with the Public Choice Winner who wins a fat quarter bundle from ButterCuppityFabrics AND a $10 gift certificate from the Fat Quarter Shop.  With 51 of the 179 votes (or 28.5%) the winner is:

LoveBugStudios!  Now I’m going to announce the randomly chosen participant that will win a PDF Sewing Pattern of their choice from the lovely StudioCherie!  PS.  I have purchased three (so far) and they are very well written and help you to create the most adorable items!

First, I put the names all in the hat (I was smart and saved them from the last time – just adjusting for the winners this week)

Then, since there’s just one prize this week and Cedi picked the last time there was one prize I let Capri do the picking.

I had to include both pictures of Capri with the winner’s name – she’s just too cute – this his her ‘smiling’ in both pictures!

Congrats to Kathleen’s Quilts for winning the randomly drawn prize!   ***I will be getting a hold of the winners in the next few days to get you your prizes.***
