The Naming Game – Capri Grace

Round Two of the Naming Game – Capri Grace.

I was in a complete panic about what to name her about two weeks before her due date. For awhile she was going to be Scarlett after the heroine in my all time favorite book. We also really liked Nala, Bianca, Gretta, Olive, Macy and Layla.

But they just didn’t seem right. I was panicked! I didn’t know this babies name! Again, Jared thought I was insane.

Jared’s Grandma’s birthday is in the beginning of February and we were heading over for a special dinner with her when I had my new Colbie Caillat CD, Coco, in the player. That’s when I heard it, an amazing song called ‘Capri’. I new in my gut that was going to be my babies name…it just fit! (Jared liked it too!)

It also seemed that Grace fit properly as a middle name. Honored both my Grandmother’s and it just flows so nicely with Capri (at least we think so…)

We did wait to have her to finalize her name though. I am a true believer in meeting my baby first before I set the name. Who knows if an Oscar would have popped out…
