Tripping Along

If you haven’t figured it out yet…

“I am a quilt along addict.”  Yes, I’m finally admitting it – writing the sentence to you all.  I LOVE quilt alongs.  I’ll admit – I”m not the hugest fan of sampler quilts but I DO love making a sampler quilt ‘look cool’ or ‘modern’.  And I DO love learning so many different techniques without having to commit to a huge quilt to do so.  (ie…in last years Craftsy BOM we learned how to do Drunkard Path blocks…I will NEVER do that again…but I did fall in love with Hexagons which I never would have imagined…).

Anyway, I’ve fallen in with the trend (which is also something I try to avoid)…I’m Tripping Along with the #scrappytripalong.

I had been seeing the blocks on instagram…I’d been seeing them on twitter.  I thought…hey, I’ll just make one…see what all the hype is about.

which then turned into two…

into 12…

and today…I’m at 16 #scrappytripalong blocks.  I’m not sure how many my ‘end goal’ is but I am really loving this!  I had a sew day with some ladies in my town last weekend and I shared my #scrappytripalong knowledge with them.  I’m pretty sure I have at least 2 new recruits…if not 4 our 5.

Did you trip along with everyone?  Please share you links below!  I want to see them!

Do you want to trip along with the quilting world too?
