Week 3 of the Perfect 10 Quilt Along–Coffee and Cookie Dough

Doesn’t that sounds like a great breakfast – coffee and cookie dough!?  Well – that’s the next two blocks that are up for Week 3 of the Perfect 10 Quilt Along which shows off the blocks from the new Perfect 10 Quilt book.

For the quilt along we were asked to make 2 coffee blocks …

here’s my first

and here’s my second.  When they go side by side in the final layout it will create a fun chevron-esque design (if you squint your eyes and imagine it anyway …).  I promise that will make more sense once you see these in the final layout.

And my single cookie dough block.  I just love the combination of orange and aubergine (aka purple).  I’m so happy on how the ombre confetti metallic Aubergine by V and Co for Moda Fabrics is working out.  I can finally just buy yardage of ONE fabric instead of a bunch of yards of different fabrics to get a scrappy look.  Which won’t stop me completely from buying lots of different fabrics but it’s definitely a great solution when I don’t want to think to hard about what’s going where! ~|~|~|~ Find out how you can join in the fun HERE and be sure to see what the other participants are using for their fabrics in this fun quilt!
