Week 8 of the Perfect 10 Quilts Along–Rainbow Sherbet and Rocky Road Blocks

Rainbow Sherbet and Rocky Road are definitely not two flavors I’d put in the same dish together but both of these blocks look great in the Perfect 10 Quilt book sampler! I messed up on the schedule of this quilt along just a bit … I didn’t realize we had off for the week of Thanksgiving so I was a week ahead – oops!  Better too early than too late! This weeks assignment was to make two Rainbow Sherbet Blocks.

I can’t decide if I like the dark background with grey fabric or the lighter background with the black fabric best. 

These went together fast and I think the possibilities are truly endless!

The last block we were asked to make was a single Rocky Road block. Again – it went together quickly and has quite a dramatic impact! Next week I’ll finally be able to reveal to you what the entire quilt looks like once you put all these blocks together!  I hope you’re excited because I know I am!
