A Lovely Year of Finishes – January Goal Setting

I am excited to be inspired to complete my quilts this year thanks to Melissa of Sew Bittersweet Designs, Shanna of Fiber of All Sorts and their ‘A Lovely Year of Finishes’ Challenge and Competition. If we can FINISH a project in a month and follow the instructions we get entered to WIN prizes! Who wouldn’t want to do that? I’m IN! (I always do better with tasks so this is going to be good for me…I think…)
Of course in January Project QUILTING will be starting so I will start and finish two quilts for that. I want to add to my challenge though and would like to finish at least one of the BOMs/QALs that I finished the blocks for in 2012.
My goal for January will be to finish the top for this Reproduction Sampler Quilt I got the kit for from Fabrics N Quilts. I actually started this back in 2011 so it really is time to finish it up! I have all the fabric I need to finish it but I just haven’t taken the time to do so and I’m sure my friend Julie is getting tired of waiting for it…
Instead of waiting 6 years to sort my fabric scraps, I plan to do it at least once a year. Now that I see how much I can accumulate in just a year I may have to switch this to twice a year!
I really hope I can accomplish this goal. I have a bit of work to do to rearrange/reorganize my studio before I even get started! Wish me luck!
