Winter Wonderland Sew Along–Peppermint Block and a Giveaway

Happy Saturday everyone!  Have you been following along with the fun I’ve been having with the #verysherrichristmas Winter Wonderland Sew Along with the Fat Quarter Shop.  If not it’s with  Sherri Falls of This & That patterns and we’re all sewing up the Sleigh Bell Sampler from her first book with It’s Sew Emma, Winter Wonderland. You can see my first two blocks here, my second two blocks here, and my third two blocks here. I got started in this fun because I’m honored to be the host of the ‘Peppermint’ block! 

I chose a rather unconventional fabric combination for my peppermint block but I do think it is wonderful!  I just love mixing that light aqua with reds.  Be sure to head on over and see what the A Quilting Life did with her basket block!  Keep an eye on my instagram account … @PersimonDreams  to see what my basket block turned out like!

Here are six of my blocks all together!  I’m going to make all twelve of the blocks but I’m not 100% sure I’m going to make it into the final quilt.  Don’t get me wrong – I love what Sherri did with the layout of her sampler … but I also think these blocks would make super cute miniature wall hangings, pot holders (that are pretty and you don’t actually use) or even set into placemats for the holiday’s.  The possibilities are endless and the blocks are lots of fun to put together!
